Circa 1960's Acrylic Pink Moonstone, Vintage Lace Necklace Eileen travels to my boutique from Milford, CT -- over an hour ride each way. We have a blast sorting through pieces in my shop that would embellish pieces from her antique jewelry collection. We've spent many hours laying out her vintage Kramer, Weiss & Coro pieces to discuss, coordinate & construct the new life they will each take on. Here, Eileen longed to have what she thought was a plain choker in just the right pink for her skin tone. We needed to solve several problems. In order to convert it to longer than choker length, a solution was needed to keep the center from flipping forward. I created 17 inches of my Vintage Lace design in silver non-tarnishing art wire, connected her pink choker piece, added coral/ pink vintage beads from an earring orphan and voila -- this is what I've created. Her new Vintage Lace provides a light filigree design, while acting as a stabilizing base for her choker. I will be creating two more similar Vintage Laces with other chokers from her collection, so be on the look-out for those.
