Seashells & Pearls from Daughter to Mother, Gem Revival Earrings
Dec 16 2011
Donna works hard & long hours so when she takes a break it's usually on a tropical beach where she might find a seashell or two. She brought some of those seashells in for a new jewelry project. This pair of earrings will be a gift for Donna's mother who will be taking a cruise around the Caribbean Islands. She wanted her to be able to sport earrings that reflect the island mystique. The spiral seashell was very tiny and resistant to drilling but drill I did so I could gold leaf each and hang them as charms. Finishing this seashore palette are four tiny freshwater pearls, a gold leafed pewter starfish and finally the spiral seashell also gold leafed. I hope Donna's mother will model them for me.
