I love to bring vintage, found objects and seaglass to life. Whether it's a custom piece, something new that inspired me to create or something recently sold, I will bring to you a bit of a story about each.
Donna discovered this Victorian embroidered Felt and Gold Thread Brooch among my recent antique treasure acquisitions. We discussed ways to change it up and originally planned to create a bracelet using a Victorian watch band until Donna spotted this matte gold seed bead multi-chain necklace from the 1990's. She was taken with the combination so I wove the brooch permanently to the necklace. I also created a double strand of gold vintage chains with garnet Swarovski bi-cone crystals dangling well below this piece. I can't wait to show Donna her latest set of Art Jewelry!

Butterflies and a daisy have found their way to the ocean by way of an ice sea glass piece in seafoam green. The shabby chic daisy sits high with three free floating butterflies dangling from a petal. The daisy is lightly wire wrapped to the seaglass while the butterflies offer movement below. The seaglass measures approximately 1.5 x 1 inch.

This little bird once made a statement on a plate. It's since migrated to starring role in my Vintage Mosaic Necklace as a singular pottery shard among other curiosities. The button cufflink in grey holds a black chain of approximately 16 inches at the helm. Black and white play against silver in the form of glass and wood beads, an acrylic and rhinestone hoop and an even more curious acrylic and metal spinning button down below. I've framed it all in non-tarnishing silver art wire. This piece makes its statement within a 3 x 2 inch frame.

This collision of color brings to mind a pool lit from below in the midst of a star strewn & full moon night. You as the observer might want to dive into this mayhem of delight or just let this dream take you on its ride. Someone already has made the decision as she is the proud new owner of this Da Vinci Necklace. Stained glass, Swarovski crystals & freshwater pearl all orbit a backdrop of black glass and gold frame. I love the accents, twists and turns, as well as, the form wire brings to a piece. The wire wrapping was kept to a minimum so as to not compete with the many players involved.

Alex had just purchased a bike chain bracelet & asked if I could add some gemstones to it. I suggested blue Sapphires in case he wanted to pair this bracelet with his NY Yankee sterling cuff with royal blue sea glass. He agreed and this is the final result. I soldered seven square blue sapphires securely with silver beads built up to protect the gems. Alex loved the bracelet & it paired beautifully with his cuff as we'd hoped. Allison wanted me to use her Citrine gemstone in a sea themed necklace. She loved the brass sand dollar & asked that it be plated in 18 kt gold. I would include her enameled seahorse along with a Swarovski crystal star fish that would dance opposite her stone. I wrapped the citrine in heavy gauge gold filled wire and sprinkled in green & blue Swarovski crystal, miniature bi-cones until I was satisfied that any mermaid would want this piece for herself. It will dance with Allison from the daytime into her evening, from work to play!

Jordan had been collecting wampum shells for many years and hoped to have them placed in a cuff that he could wear from work to play. These white and purple buttons were made from the quahog, or Western North Atlantic hard-shelled clam. Each shell was given its shape and a rivet in the center for effect, then soldered to the sterling cuff which had been measured to fit Jordan beforehand. The first thought that came to Jordan's mind was that it was of Medieval times. I let him know that I envisioned King Neptune entering his sea cave to fetch not only his scepter but his cuff which had formed from seashells fossilized into the cave and removed and shaped to adorn his wrist. If you look closely you'll see the effects that might have been water traversing the surrounding silver "stone' for hundreds of years.

Tina took advantage of my Wish Book. A few weeks later her husband & kids came in to fulfill that Wish. I'd written specifics about the necklace she fell in love with. That necklace had since sold, but I was able to reassure Tom, her husband, that I would create a one-of-a-kind Beach Gem necklace with argentium sterling as its wrap and Swarovski bi-cone crystals in Aqua & Zircon colors. I can't wait to show this to Jeff & their kids. Post created from this item

Its center floral & rhinestone once-pin is joined with once clip-on earrings in rectangle lavender glass, lustre pearl & glass flowers, and finally topped on each side with once-clip-ons in brilliant gold texture with triangle purple rhinestones. This one chockfull of lovelies is sold.
